After more than a decade in the corporate world, this Indian artisan discovered her true passion in terracotta jewelry. A graduate of Jesus and Mary College in Delhi, she left her career to care for her young daughter, only to rediscover herself through clay. Inspired during a visit to Delhi Haat, she took courses in terracotta jewelry making and sought mentorship from a fine arts teacher to refine her technique. Working with clay sourced from riverbeds, she handcrafts beads and pendants that are baked, painted in vibrant colors, and finished with non-toxic lacquer. Her collections often draw on temple motifs of Hindu gods and goddesses, blending tradition with fashion. Since 2011, she has exhibited her jewelry in Delhi and beyond, gradually expanding to train young artisans and rural women, giving them dignified work. For her, each piece is a labor of love, inspired by nature, crafted with care, and filled with the joy of transforming clay into timeless adornment. She dreams of one day owning her own kiln and workshop to bring her brand fully to life.
