These Indian Sterling Silver Detachable Garnet Jhumki Earrings 'Wedding Bells' are a delightful and traditional accessory. Designed by Alok Jain, these jhumki earrings feature diminutive dancing chandeliers with garnet on two slender chains. The pieces, which blend artistry with elegance, are a beautiful representation of the artisan's passion for precision and uncompromising quality.
From the age of 17, this Indian artisan has been immersed in the world of handicrafts, beginning with sandalwood and brass before finding his true calling in jewelry. Inspired by the natural world, his designs often feature organic motifs that blend artistry with elegance. A career highlight came in 1995, when the Sultan of Brunei commissioned his work, a project that brought together a team of artisans in a two-month collaboration that remains unforgettable. In 2002, he joined Novica, an experience he credits with transforming his craft from simple jewelry into true art. Over two decades, he has grown from working with a single helper to leading a small team of artisans, instilling in them the importance of precision and uncompromising quality. Today, his designs reflect a balance between timeless style and evolving fashion, while his workshop provides opportunity and livelihood for the families who bring each creation to life.
Handcrafted in India with .925 sterling silver and garnet. Each earring measures 2.8 inches in length and 0.5 inches in width. They have a combination finish. One of the chains is detachable.
