Born in Bali, Rena is a third-generation artisan who grew up immersed in traditional craftsmanship. Encouraged by his grandfather, an architect and master carver, he began woodcarving in elementary school before turning to silver jewelry under the guidance of a local silversmith. By blending his carving skills with metalwork, Rena developed a distinctive style that captures both Balinese heritage and contemporary design. At 25, he established his own workshop, which now supports a team of 12 artisans whose skills he carefully nurtures and organizes. His wife also contributes to the business, while their two children inspire his dedication to growth and innovation. Rena’s jewelry is handcrafted using traditional tools such as hammers, stoves, and chisels, with designs often born from his imagination and attuned to modern fashion trends. From humble beginnings, he has built a thriving workshop and continues to expand his collections, sharing Bali’s artistry with the world.
