This Handmade Sterling Silver Collar Necklace from Thailand 'Lucky Silver' is a stunning and stylish accessory. Designed by Pakaon Sojintarit, the necklace features three ovals of hammered sterling silver that hang horizontally from a delicate sterling silver cable chain. The piece, which elevates hill tribe silver into a symbol of cultural identity, is a beautiful representation of the artisan's vision and heritage.
Born in 1991, Pakaon Sojintarit, known affectionately as Little, grew up in Chiang Mai in a family deeply connected to the traditions of silver jewelry. Her parents first encountered the artistry of hill tribe silversmiths decades ago, and their admiration for the purity and symbolism of this craft evolved into a family enterprise. From a young age, Little accompanied her mother to hill tribe villages, observing artisans transform raw silver into jewelry of over 95 percent purity using only simple tools. After studies in hospitality and international experience in the United States and China, she chose to return to her roots, combining her global outlook with her heritage. Today, she oversees a workshop that collaborates with more than 300 silversmiths, the majority of them women, providing stable livelihoods and preserving Karen hill tribe traditions. Her vision is to elevate hill tribe silver into a symbol of Chiang Mai’s cultural identity worldwide.
Handcrafted in Thailand with .925 sterling silver. The necklace has a 15.3-inch inner circumference.
