Born in Eastern Ghana, this artisan left a business career to follow his passion for wood carving, inspired by a cousin who introduced him to the craft. Over the years, he mastered techniques of carving, finishing, and decorating with brass and beads, creating distinctive masks and sculptures. With dedication and perseverance, he established his own workshop in Aburi, where he now trains others and experiments with innovative finishes. His collaboration with Novica has supported his family, helping his children through college and providing him with a home of his own. Today, he is proud to be the breadwinner of his family and a mentor to aspiring carvers. Each piece he creates reflects Ghana’s artistry, blending tradition with originality, and speaks to a journey of resilience, creativity, and gratitude.
