These Handcrafted Mexican Sterling Silver and Sodalite Earrings '19th Century' by Independent Artisans are an original and delicate accessory. Designed by Gianluca Anzani, the earrings feature sodalite stones framed by delicate ovals of sterling silver. The lacy femininity of the design is inspired by jewelry from the 1800s, and the piece embodies the richness of cross-cultural heritage and meticulous craftsmanship.
Swiss-Italian by birth but Mexican at heart, Gianluca settled in Michoacán in 1977 after falling in love with the country’s culture and people. His artistry emerged from years of learning alongside local artisans, mastering traditional techniques while blending them with his European roots. Today, he focuses on silver jewelry created with the lost-wax process, pouring molten silver into molds and finishing each piece by hand. His designs embody both meticulous craftsmanship and the richness of cross-cultural heritage. Through his jewelry, Gianluca shares a life story interwoven with travel, family, and the vibrant traditions of Mexico, offering wearers pieces filled with history and heart.
Handcrafted in Mexico with .925 sterling silver and sodalite, these hook earrings are made using the lost wax process. Each earring measures 2.7 inches in length and 0.7 inches in width.
