It combines turquoise blue and grey cords to braid the design. Now based in Chiang Mai, she collaborates with local artisans.
Raised in Chiang Rai, Thailand, the designer grew up crafting toys and accessories from flowers, leaves, and vines, guided by her natural creativity and resourcefulness. Inspired by her father’s carpentry and her mother’s support, she developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship. A formative moment came during a college field trip to the Yao hill tribe village in Chiang Mai, where she learned the intricate braiding traditions of the women artisans. Determined to adapt the technique, she experimented with materials until she discovered the durability and vibrancy of waxed cords, which became central to her jewelry. After graduating, she began designing bracelets, necklaces, and belts, blending ethnic Thai influences with modern durability. Now based in Chiang Mai, she collaborates with local artisans, drawing inspiration from Thailand’s diverse cultural heritage. Each of her creations reflects patience, imagination, and heartfelt artistry, offering wearers a lasting connection to Thai tradition.
Handcrafted from 950 silver and waxed polyester cords with a matte finish, this bracelet weighs 0.14 oz. It measures 7 to 10.3 inches in adjustable length and is 6 mm W, with a sliding knot.
