The Evening Jepun dangle earrings by Buana capture the beauty of a floral garden at evening. Crafted from sterling silver, they are detailed with handcrafted dot, wire, and floral frangipani motifs. Faceted citrine and blue topaz gems complete the earrings.
Born in Sukawati, Bali in 1974, I Wayan Buana grew up surrounded by the island’s rich artistic traditions. He discovered his passion for silver jewelry in childhood, learning the craft in the sixth grade under the guidance of the father of artisan Komang Wijayana. By his teenage years, Buana was already creating pieces independently, refining skills that would shape his life’s work. Overcoming early struggles and economic hardship, he persevered with faith and dedication, eventually building a workshop where he now leads a team of 18 artisans. Using simple tools and traditional methods, he transforms silver into intricate designs inspired by Balinese culture, ancestral motifs, and the island’s natural beauty. His creations, including favorites like the “Face of the Moon” ring, embody both personal expression and cultural preservation. Recognized as a best-selling artisan in Bali, Buana continues to craft jewelry that sustains his family and shares Balinese artistry with the world.
Made in Indonesia from 925 sterling silver, citrine, and blue topaz with a combination finish. The hook earrings measure 2.2 inches H x 1.1 inches W x 0.3 inches D and weigh 0.46 oz.
