This self-taught ceramic artist discovered his passion for clay without formal training, driven by curiosity and perseverance. A single father, he finds his greatest motivation in providing for his young son, who also shows interest in the craft. Inspired by birds and animals, he creates ceramic sculptures that capture the beauty of nature in form, color, and movement. His path has not been without challenges, from early missteps — such as humorous attempts at portraiture — to the struggles of earning recognition in the marketplace. Yet through experimentation, observation, and determination, he mastered molding, firing, and painting techniques, developing a unique artistic voice. Working alone from his workshop, he dreams of expanding, employing others, and supporting his community while giving his son a brighter future. Each piece is crafted with passion and excellence, embodying his belief that art must reflect both heart and resilience.

Handcrafted in Guatemala from ceramic and cotton cord with a sliding knot for adjustability. The cord chain measures 13 to 26 inches long and 2 mm wide. The pendant measures 1.4 inches long by 1.4 inches wide by 0.4 inches deep and weighs 0.53 ounces.
