This Cultured Pearl and Sterling Silver Single Stone Ring 'Opposite Directions' by I Ketut Arta Pradana Putra is a darling ring with a single cultured freshwater pearl at the center. Traditional Balinese designs adorn the sterling silver band. The artisan's jewelry draws on Bali’s rich cultural identity while adapting to contemporary tastes.
I Ketut Arta Pradana Putra, born in Celuk, Bali, grew up in a village renowned for silver artistry. The youngest of four children, he inherited a love of silversmithing from his father, who exhibited internationally, and was guided by his mother’s lessons in integrity and craftsmanship. After balancing university with silverwork, Ketut chose to dedicate himself fully to the family tradition, modernizing its reach through exhibitions, social media, and online platforms. His jewelry draws on Bali’s rich cultural identity while adapting to contemporary tastes, blending heritage techniques with fresh designs. What began as a childhood passion has become a career marked by resilience, from door-to-door sales in Europe to collaborations with Novica that elevated the quality of his collections. Today, Ketut leads his workshop with the same dedication he witnessed in his parents, crafting silver jewelry that reflects both tradition and innovation.
Handcrafted in 925 sterling silver and a cultured freshwater pearl with a combination finish, this ring weighs 0.04 oz. The ring front measures 0.7 inches L x 0.2 inches W x 0.2 inches H, with a band width of 3 mm W.
