Panapai and his wife, Anongnat, have built a life and livelihood around the delicate art of blown glass in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Originally a mechanic, Panapai’s passion for glassblowing, sparked during his youth, eventually led him to establish a workshop specializing in animal figurines, earrings, and artistic pieces made from Pyrex glass. Since 2002, they have been regular fixtures at Chiang Mai’s Sunday Walking Street Market, where their daughter also learned the values of entrepreneurship. Their craft includes both scientific and decorative glassware, each piece shaped by skill and resilience. Anongnat supports production and sales, even while facing health challenges, making their work a true family endeavor. Before the pandemic, they also welcomed tourists to hands-on workshops, sharing knowledge and fostering appreciation for the art. Today, their workshop continues to sustain not only their family but also other local artisans, preserving Thailand’s tradition of glass artistry.

These earrings are crafted from glass and 925 sterling silver hooks with a high-polish finish. They feature hook earrings and measure 2.4 inches L x 0.6 inches W. They weigh 0.38 ounces.
