These 'My Protector in Blue' by Independent Artisans are a beautiful pair of dangle earrings. Presented by Made Sudiari, each earring has a dazzling faceted oval blue topaz at the center which is enclosed by wonderfully detailed floral engravings in sterling silver. The piece is a beautiful reflection of Bali’s deep artisanal heritage.
Born in Bali, Made Sudiari grew up in a community where jewelry-making was part of daily life. Though her parents were farmers, she and her siblings helped neighbors craft silver jewelry to pay for school. By sixth grade, she was already creating her own designs. Known for her quiet determination, she built her career while raising two children, often working late at night after caring for her family. Together with her husband, children, and a small team of artisans, she now creates jewelry using traditional tools and techniques. Sterling silver, gold, and gemstones form the foundation of her work, which reflects Bali’s deep artisanal heritage. For Made, jewelry-making is both livelihood and legacy, a way to ensure her children’s future while honoring the traditions of her homeland.
These earrings are crafted from 925 sterling silver and blue topaz with a combination finish. They feature hook earrings and measure 1.7 inches H x 0.5 inches W x 0.2 inches D.
