Introduced to the craft in childhood, he mastered repoussé techniques by sixth grade and began selling jewelry to classmates soon after. Now leading his own workshop, he creates sterling silver designs inspired by Indonesia’s rich flora and fauna, often incorporating cultured pearls, carved bone, and gemstones. Assisted by three silversmiths, he employs semi-traditional tools to preserve authenticity while developing a modern approach to Balinese artistry. His work emphasizes animal and floral motifs, a reflection of his commitment to preserving nature’s beauty through design. Independent in spirit, he is dedicated to carrying forward his family’s legacy while expressing his own vision. Each piece he creates is both homage to tradition and a celebration of Indonesia’s biodiversity.
