Born near Lake Atitlán in 1971, this Guatemalan artisan discovered jewelry making at the age of seven, learning to bead, crochet, and craft macramé bracelets. By eleven, she was designing her own techniques and selling them in nearby villages, nurturing a deep love for color and form despite hardship. Her journey has been marked by resilience, from surviving Guatemala’s civil conflict to rebuilding after personal and community losses. With determination and faith, she founded a workshop that not only sustains her craft but also empowers local families, offering stable income and dignity through handmade jewelry. Teaching others has become as meaningful as her own creations, enabling women to build homes and educate their children. Today, her vibrant beaded designs carry the spirit of freedom and cultural heritage, celebrating imagination and the enduring beauty of artisanal expression.
