This Artisan Crafted Sterling Silver Locket Necklace by Independent Artisans, titled 'Poison Hexagon,' is a fascinating and mysterious piece from Balinese artisan I Gede Putra Adi. The necklace features a hexagonal locket pendant crafted from sterling silver that opens and closes to hold your "tiniest classified secrets." The locket hangs from a cable chain with a lobster claw clasp. This piece is a bridge between the past and present, blending traditional motifs with modern styles.
Born in 1992 in Celuk, Bali’s renowned silversmithing village, I Gede Putra Adi grew up surrounded by the rhythms of silverwork. The son of a silversmith, he initially pursued business administration before returning to his heritage, determined to preserve Celuk’s legacy. Today, he manages his family’s art shop while designing contemporary jewelry that blends traditional motifs such as jawan with modern styles. Assisted by a small team of artisans, he transforms ideas into handcrafted pieces that honor Bali’s culture while meeting global tastes. Silver remains his primary medium, complemented by gemstones and pearls sourced locally. For Adi, each design is a bridge between past and present, sustaining his community’s craft in an era of change. Through his work, he hopes to ensure Celuk silver remains a celebrated art form for generations to come.
Handcrafted in Indonesia from .925 sterling silver with a high-polish finish, this necklace measures 18 inches L with a 1-inch L x 0.7-inch W x 0.6-inch D pendant.
