American-born designer Janice Girardi has called Bali home since the early 1980s, where her admiration for the island’s cultural heritage and master silversmiths inspired the creation of Janice Girardi Designs. Today, she leads a team of more than 100 artisans who enjoy fair pay, health insurance, and a supportive working environment, earning recognition from the Indonesian government and the governor of Bali for female workforce development. Her jewelry reflects Balinese spiritual traditions, temple rituals, and an eye for color, combining natural stones with intricate silverwork to create pieces that are modern yet timeless. Alongside her design career, Janice founded the Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) in 2007, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing, healing, and protecting Bali’s animals, particularly the endangered native Kintamani dog. With awards for both her jewelry enterprise and her humanitarian work, Janice continues to champion artistry, tradition, and compassion through every facet of her life’s work.

Handcrafted in Indonesia from 925 sterling silver and blue topaz, with a combination finish. The necklace measures 18 inches in length, and the pendant is 1.1 inches in length by 0.4 inches in width. It features a lobster claw clasp.
