This Sterling Silver Ring with Combined Textures from Mexico 'Textured Style' by Ezequiel Tapia is an elegant and unique accessory. The sterling silver ring is hand crafted with a combination of a high polished texture and a stippled texture, creating a beautiful contrast. The design is inspired by traditional Taxco jewelry, reflecting the artist's heritage while offering a modern twist.
Ezequiel Tapia, born in Taxco de Alarcón, Mexico, grew up surrounded by the art of jewelry-making in his father’s lapidary workshop. From an early age he absorbed traditional techniques such as embossing, later expanding his skills through courses in contemporary design. Although he trained as an industrial mechanical engineer and briefly pursued another career path, his passion for jewelry ultimately brought him back to Taxco, where he combined silver with stones to create original designs. Working primarily in 925 silver, sometimes accented with 14k gold, pearls, and semi-precious stones, Tapia draws inspiration from nature, architectural forms, and cultural motifs ranging from pre-Hispanic to Egyptian. Today, jewelry-making is a family tradition, with his wife and sister-in-law supporting production and quality. Deeply committed to his craft and community, he aspires to share his creations worldwide, blending heritage with modern artistry while providing opportunities for local artisans.
Handcrafted in Mexico from 925 sterling silver, the ring has a band width of 3 mm and features a combination finish.
