Edith Orozco, a second-generation artisan from Mexico, grew up surrounded by her family’s craft traditions, learning directly from her mother more than 30 years ago. With formal studies in design, she transformed her childhood passion into a professional practice, later sharing her knowledge as a university instructor for eight years. Today, Edith specializes in paper paste jewelry, sculpting intricate portable works of art that are both delicate and strong. Each piece—often in the form of hearts—symbolizes daily moments imbued with love and meaning, designed to be carried close to the wearer. Working with friends she considers family, Edith also integrates sustainable practices, repurposing cardboard and other materials into her creations. For her, paper’s versatility mirrors life itself—fragile yet resilient. Inspired by her daughter and by women seeking entrepreneurship, she aspires to set an example of creativity, perseverance, and artistry through every design.

Handcrafted in Mexico from paper pulp and polyester cord, this necklace has an adjustable length from 18 to 23.5 inches. The pendant measures 1.4 inches long by 0.9 inches wide and features a sliding knot.
