Domingo Reanda, born in 1971 in Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala, grew up in a farming family but was drawn to weaving from a young age. By thirteen, he had mastered stoles and macramé bracelets, later expanding into beadwork as a way to support widows of the armed conflict. Today, Domingo works alongside his family, crafting necklaces, bags, and bracelets that unite traditional techniques with personal innovation. His inspiration comes from humanity, nature, and lived experiences, which he translates into vibrant designs filled with meaning. Despite challenges in a competitive market, he remains committed to quality and originality, exploring ways to develop exclusive colors and techniques. Through his workshop, Domingo not only sustains his family but also preserves Maya traditions, ensuring fair opportunities for artisans. Each piece he creates reflects resilience, community, and the beauty of Guatemalan craft heritage.
Handcrafted in Guatemala from glass and crystal beads, nylon cord, and a pewter button closure, each bracelet measures 31 inches long by 0.5 inches wide and features a high polish finish and a button clasp.
