Crimson Calabash Gourd Pendant Necklace with Wood Beads 'Jungle Crimson'

Costa Rican artist Kattia López draws inspiration from the country’s flora and fauna, blending nature’s beauty with artisanal craft. Though her parents were not artists, her grandfather’s influence nurtured her creativity. After a health challenge in 2010, she dedicated herself to handicrafts, studying at institutions and joining the Identity Crafts program of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute. Over more than a decade, she has refined her skills, receiving recognition from the National Institute of Women and the World Tourism Organization for her contributions to art and tourism. Her work captures the vitality of Costa Rica’s culture, offering jewelry and objects that connect wearers to the spirit of the land.

Handcrafted in Costa Rica from a calabash gourd, pinewood beads, and polyester cord, this necklace has an adjustable length from 14.3 inches to 27 inches. The pendant measures 1.9 inches long by 1.7 inches wide.
