The Silver Stingray Necklace by Blue Dot Jewelry is a charming and whimsical conversation starter. The sterling silver pendant is a casting from an original sculpture that captures the stingray's unique features on both sides. The top has a beautiful satin finish that catches the light, while the underside shows the stingray's characteristic "face" with nostrils, mouth, and gills.
Blue Dot Jewelry was founded by designer Caitlin, whose discovery of silver clay unlocked a way to capture the fleeting details of nature in enduring form. The medium, malleable like clay yet transforming to pure silver when kiln-fired, allows her to replicate leaf veins, shells, and organic textures with sculptural precision. Each original piece is cast in silver or bronze using traditional methods, preserving every delicate detail. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Caitlin carries an innate reverence for the natural world into her work. After years in journalism and design in New York City, she launched Blue Dot Jewelry in Brooklyn, naming it for Earth, our shared “blue marble.” Today she lives in the Hudson Valley with her family, creating jewelry that celebrates wonder, texture, and the quiet beauty of our planet.
Handcrafted in the USA, this pendant is cast from an original sculpture in sterling silver and has a satin finish on top. The pendant measures 1.1" (28mm) tall and comes with an 18" sterling silver chain.
