The 'Icy Shores in Green' pendant necklace by Arshad Ullah is a serene and sophisticated piece. Thai artisans use petite chalcedony stones to create a tiered pendant, complementing them with baroque cultured freshwater pearls and 18k gold-plated brass accents. The mint green gems harmonize perfectly with the luminous pearls, embodying Arshad's philosophy of transmitting joy through his designs.
Arshad Ullah, originally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in northern Pakistan, grew up surrounded by some of the world’s finest gemstones, from jade and lapis lazuli to tourmaline and nephrite. Although he once aspired to become an engineer, his life changed in 2008 when he moved to Thailand to work with his uncle, a gemstone merchant in Bangkok. There, he immersed himself in the world of gems, discovering their beauty, symbolism, and transformative power. Today, Arshad designs jewelry with a focus on aquamarine and diamond, his favorite stones for their clarity and strength. Gemstones, he believes, teach patience and resilience, qualities he channels into his craft. His work reflects both his cultural heritage and his personal journey, offering jewelry that is as meaningful as it is beautiful.
Made in Thailand, this necklace is crafted from 18k gold-plated brass, chalcedony, and cultured freshwater pearl with a high polish finish. It weighs 0.88 oz and measures 19 inches L and 3 mm W with a lobster claw clasp.
