Raised among artisans and marketplaces, she pursued metal arts at university, developing a strong foundation in repoussé embossing, filigree, and silver casting. Today, Hadian leads a workshop where 23 local women artisans handcraft intricate jewelry, keeping alive techniques passed down through generations. Her designs balance historical authenticity with a contemporary perspective, drawing on Hindu-inspired floral motifs, local culture, and global trends. Quality and detail remain at the heart of her practice, as each piece is shaped using traditional tools and manual processes. For Hadian, jewelry is more than adornment, it is a continuation of Jogjakarta’s heritage and a way to empower women in her community.
