Alfredo Inga, born in Catacaos in 1960, is one of Peru’s most celebrated masters of filigree. Known as the “City of Filigree,” Catacaos provided the perfect setting for him to begin learning the delicate art at age eleven. Inspired by nature, especially flowers, he developed a signature style that combines traditional finesse with artistic innovation. After winning a national prize, Alfredo received a scholarship to study with a professor from Israel, where he excelled and was invited to teach. Choosing to remain in Peru, he dedicated his life to preserving and evolving filigree in his homeland. Each of his creations is entirely handcrafted, showcasing intricate silver threads woven into timeless forms. Alfredo’s jewelry embodies precision, patience, and cultural pride, ensuring that this centuries-old tradition continues to thrive in contemporary design.
Handcrafted in Peru, these hook earrings are made from 925 sterling silver with a high-polish finish. They measure 2.4 inches in length and 0.9 inches in width, with a total weight of 0.33 oz.
