This Chunky Cross Chain Necklace - Solid Gold by James Michelle elevates one of the brand’s most recognisable bold silhouettes into substantial fine jewellery through solid 14K yellow gold. The 20mm cross retains the strong, graphic proportions of the original design, while the 6mm chain provides enough weight to make the necklace a confident standalone piece. Without stones or contrasting materials, attention falls entirely on the richness and permanence of solid gold and the symbolism of the cross itself. Handmade to order, it is designed to move beyond fashion jewellery into something lasting, while still preserving the relaxed, chunky attitude that makes the James Michelle version feel distinctly contemporary.
James Michelle Jewelry, founded by Jamie Israel in 2016 in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, reflects a journey of resilience and creativity, infused with the spirit of laid-back, West Coast cool. Born from personal trials, including the challenges of motherhood, the loss of loved ones, and her own health struggles, each piece embodies a story of transformation and beauty. Jamie's passion for hand-stamping and forging metal allows her to create jewelry that resonates with the natural world and her innermost experiences. Her designs draw inspiration from the ocean, mountains, and the simple moments that spark joy. Today, James Michelle Jewelry is celebrated for its unique pieces that not only adorn but also empower, inviting individuals to embrace their own stories and adventures.
