This Scarab Pendant by Pamela Love transforms the ancient scarab into a substantial piece of black lampworked glass. Long associated with transformation, protection, and renewal, the beetle becomes a bold talisman with luminous depth and a deliberately sculptural scale. A Japanese woven silk cord introduces softness against the glass, while hand-knotting and onyx bead finishes reinforce the dark, tactile palette. Each scarab is formed individually, so small variations preserve the evidence of the artisan process rather than seeking absolute uniformity. Wear it long for an amuletic, almost ceremonial effect or adjust the cord shorter to bring the powerful symbol closer to the body.
New York-based designer Pamela Love founded her eponymous jewelry brand in 2007, inspired by astrology, tarot, and folklore. Her approach to jewelry is rich in symbolism and storytelling. Influenced by travel, she incorporates celestial, spiritual, and terrestrial motifs, creating pieces that are personal and meaningful. Her unique and edgy creations have become popular globally, every piece reflecting her vision, craftsmanship and commitment to sustainability.
Hand-lampworked black borosilicate glass; approximately 45 mm long x 25 mm wide; Japanese woven silk cord; onyx bead finishes; 31" total length with 29" drop; handmade variations will occur.
