Like ivy, the twig wraps around the finger, its buds and bark texture remaining visible through the casting and giving the ring the immediacy of an actual natural fragment. The design also carries a personal memory for Sandrine, recalling childhood moments spent winding twigs around her fingers and imagining them as rings.
