The Twig Ring in Silver With a Blue Sapphire by Sandrine B. grows directly from a real bud-covered Brooklyn branch, cast through the lost-wax process so its bark, buds and irregular contours remain visible in silver. A 3.5 mm blue sapphire is integrated into the branch with bead-like details, adding one concentrated flash of color without obscuring the natural texture. The design recalls Sandrine’s childhood habit of wrapping twigs around her fingers and pretending they were rings, giving the piece a particularly personal origin. Organic, tactile and quietly sentimental, it transforms a neighborhood fragment and a childhood memory into a distinctive alternative to a conventional gemstone band.
