The casting preserves the plant’s delicate structure and repeating fronds, wrapping the finger with a natural pattern that was created by the fern itself rather than drawn onto the metal. Sandrine B.’s product story associates fern with sincerity and also references ideas of fascination, shelter, reverie and a secret bond of love. Beyond symbolism, the ring is compelling as a physical record of place and family: an ephemeral garden specimen given lasting form through the casting process.
