The botanical form is preserved in silver, then treated differently on each side: multicolored sapphires enliven one surface while blue sapphires create a cooler contrast on the other. A lozenge-shaped shank echoes the seed’s natural geometry, making the band part of the botanical composition rather than merely its support.
