An oval coral and turquoise pairing brings warmth and blue-green intensity to the oxidized sterling silver, while the darkened finish gives the shield an aged, almost excavated appearance. The substantial top is framed by a raised border and supported by two opposing columns in the shank, with additional carving beneath completing the sculpture.
