An acorn and twig gathered during retreats in New York and Canada are preserved through lost-wax casting, while an 18 mm rutilated-quartz cabochon introduces a completely different natural texture through the needle-like inclusions visible inside the stone. The oxidized silver emphasizes the rugged bark and acorn details, providing a dark sculptural frame around the translucent quartz. At 21 mm across the bezel, the ring has considerable presence, yet its appeal remains rooted in the juxtaposition of two naturally occurring structures rather than decorative excess.
