This Wide Gold Band Blue Sapphire by Jane Bartel captures the designer’s ocean inspiration through texture, scale and an extraordinary rose-cut blue sapphire. The broad recycled-gold band is hand-finished to evoke the shifting surfaces of beach and water, allowing light to catch across its irregular texture rather than a conventional mirror polish. Set directly into that surface, the 1.5-carat sapphire appears almost as though it has emerged naturally from the gold. The stone’s individual variations ensure that no two rings feel exactly alike.
