This Scotch Black Ceramic Ring with Whiskey Barrel Wood Inlay by Lisa Robin lets the history and texture of its materials provide the design. A central channel of reclaimed whiskey-barrel oak introduces warm natural grain and traces of char against a matte black ceramic frame, creating contrast without added ornament. At 8 mm wide, the flat profile gives the wood enough surface to remain clearly visible while maintaining a disciplined contemporary silhouette. Because the reclaimed oak varies naturally, each inlay carries its own markings and tonal character.
