This Froggy Pinky Ring by Rossella Ugolini turns one of nature’s smallest creatures into an expressive piece of sculptural goldwork. A stylized frog in 18k yellow gold curls around the little finger, its form animated by green cabochon agates that introduce rich organic color. Ugolini frequently looks to the natural world for imagery, and here the frog carries particularly resonant symbolism: traditionally associated with transition, transformation and renewal, it reflects the creature’s movement between water and land and its longstanding connection with cycles of change. Playful at first glance yet layered with meaning, the ring captures the designer’s ability to make figurative jewelry feel precious, personal and unmistakably individual.

Rossella Ugolini is an award-winning Italian jewellery designer. She spent her childhood in the garden of wonders of her grandfather's city-cottage. He was an engineer but also an inventor. There she learned to look at details with curiosity and imagination. Today she owes to her training the ability to shape ideas through gold and precious stones. With her work she tries to give back, in another form, the beautiful things that she has been lucky enough to admire. She uses her goldsmith's lens to observe the history and beauty of Italy but also to go beyond places and things and discover the less visible charm of the soul and thoughts.
