This Custom made Blue Rock Ring by Rossella Ugolini has the elemental presence of a stone discovered in nature and transformed into something distinctly precious. At its center, a 2-carat oval aquamarine emerges from burnished white gold, surrounded by white diamonds, saturated blue enamel and dark black-rhodium detailing that intensify the stone’s cool, crystalline color. The deliberately rugged setting contrasts beautifully with the refinement of the gemstones, giving the ring the individuality characteristic of Ugolini’s Rome atelier. Aquamarine is traditionally associated with courage and calm, while the bespoke pinky-ring proportions give this dramatic composition an especially personal, unconventional character.
Rossella Ugolini is an award-winning Italian jewellery designer. She spent her childhood in the garden of wonders of her grandfather's city-cottage. He was an engineer but also an inventor. There she learned to look at details with curiosity and imagination. Today she owes to her training the ability to shape ideas through gold and precious stones. With her work she tries to give back, in another form, the beautiful things that she has been lucky enough to admire. She uses her goldsmith's lens to observe the history and beauty of Italy but also to go beyond places and things and discover the less visible charm of the soul and thoughts.
Handcrafted in Rome from 18k burnished white gold with blue enamel and black rhodium polish. 2.00 ct oval-cut aquamarine with 0.20 ct white diamonds. Custom-made design; size 56 conceived as a men’s pinky ring.
