This Tessell Necklace by Chandally is an ode to filigree as both craft and pattern. An irregular 18K gold circle is layered with intricate openwork texture before being interrupted by a second circular void, allowing negative space to become as important as the metal itself. The result feels almost topographic, with the dense filigree creating a tactile surface against the cleaner geometry of the opening. Chandally’s signature dialogue between old-world technique and contemporary abstraction is particularly clear here, transforming a traditional ornamental language into a modern sculptural pendant.
