This Sunrise by Chandally assembles contrasting shapes, finishes and wirework into a compact single stud. A matte 18K gold circle leads into a smaller polished circle centred by a 0.06ct white diamond in a star setting, while a suspended demi-lune below is decorated with a twisted filigree braid. The shift between matte and polished gold gives the piece depth before the eye reaches the diamond, and the lower crescent introduces movement to the composition. At under a centimetre high, it remains easy to mix with other earrings. Wear it asymmetrically when you want a small study in balance, texture and light.
Sharón Chandally Pedrini's work carries tradition forward, innovating under the influence of generations. She explores the tension between asymmetry and balance, simplicity and chaos, and synthesizes her roots in Yemenite silversmithing with a uniquely modern sensibility.
