This Pome by Chandally draws on the pomegranate, an ancient symbol of abundance, knowledge and wisdom, but distils the reference into a remarkably fine piece of goldwork. A slim band rises into Chandally’s characteristic sine-wave filigree, creating movement across the finger without the need for gemstones. The pattern feels both historic and modern, reflecting the designer’s ability to carry traditional filigree vocabulary into cleaner contemporary forms. Its light proportions make Pome an effortless everyday ring and an especially effective stacking piece, where the undulating upper line can play against straighter polished bands.
Sharón Chandally Pedrini's work carries tradition forward, innovating under the influence of generations. She explores the tension between asymmetry and balance, simplicity and chaos, and synthesizes her roots in Yemenite silversmithing with a uniquely modern sensibility.
