This Inlet by Chandally shapes twisted gold into an elongated open ellipse whose negative space is as important as the metal surrounding it. A subtle arch of four white diamonds closes one portion of the form, creating a brief flash of brilliance without disturbing the ring’s airy character. The design feels playful but controlled, using filigree-derived line work to make the finger itself part of the composition. It is especially compelling beside more conventional solid bands, where its openness, asymmetry and small concentration of diamonds offer a sophisticated change of rhythm.
Sharón Chandally Pedrini's work carries tradition forward, innovating under the influence of generations. She explores the tension between asymmetry and balance, simplicity and chaos, and synthesizes her roots in Yemenite silversmithing with a uniquely modern sensibility.
