This AMAZONIA ORGANICA PEARL RING by Donatella Balsamo reworks the classic pearl ring through an asymmetric coral-like structure. Two freshwater pearls sit within irregular branches of gold vermeil, allowing their smooth lustre to contrast with the textured organic setting rather than presenting them in a traditional symmetrical arrangement. The design celebrates natural forms through imbalance, surface and differing scale, making the pearls feel discovered rather than formally mounted. Crafted from recycled sterling silver beneath the vermeil, it brings a distinctly contemporary, sculptural attitude to one of jewellery’s most enduring materials.
