These Droplet Loop Stud Earrings with Pearls by Kate Wood bring together sculptural gold detail and the organic individuality of baroque pearls. Each teardrop-shaped pearl hangs beneath a hand-torched gold vermeil element, creating a compact 20mm drop that feels polished but never overly formal. The irregular surface and softly rounded silhouette of the pearls contrast beautifully with the warm metal, giving the earrings a handcrafted character that feels both contemporary and timeless. Their modest scale makes them easy to wear every day, while the pearl drop lends enough elegance for bridal or occasion styling. Kate Wood makes contemporary beaded and chain work jewellery which is admired for its delicacy, intricately detailed finish and lightness of touch. The subtle, harmonious shapes of Kate's beaded designs take their cue from natural forms and textures, and incorporate her love of beautiful gemstones and vintage glamour. Each piece is meticulously constructed by hand from multiple tiny beads, which are wrapped and 'woven' onto chains with hand-made silver pins.
Gold vermeil, sterling silver with a thick layer of 22ct gold plating, with baroque pearl drops measuring approx. 6 x 8mm to 7 x 9mm. Overall length: approx. 20mm. 11mm posts with butterfly backs. Handcrafted in Bristol.
