These Evil Eye Tatreez Earrings by Mounir London reinterpret the protective eye motif found in traditional Palestinian tatreez through a contemporary geometric form. Within the embroidery tradition, the eye has been associated with warding against the evil eye and with ideas of clarity, intuition, and protection. Mounir translates the stitched symbol into metal, using a matte finish to sharpen the pattern and preserve its graphic character through the approximately 2.6cm drop.
