This Mossy Organic Textured 18ct Fairmined Gold Wedding Band by Shakti Ellenwood looks to the forest floor for its richly irregular surface. Hand-worked markings evoke bark, moss and lichen, while approximately thirty natural green diamonds appear across the gold like fragments of light filtering through leaves. Their placement is intentionally organic rather than mechanically repeated, so no two Mossy bands share exactly the same pattern. The effect is tactile, grounding and beautifully unconventional, especially for a wedding ring. Mossy celebrates nature through texture rather than literal imagery, creating a band whose individuality develops from both the hand-forged surface and the scattered variation of its diamonds.
Shakti Ellenwood is a renowned designer of ethical jewellery, whose handcrafted creations offer a unique blend of beauty and integrity. Her earthy, organic designs fuse an ancient feel with a contemporary aesthetic, incorporating diverse influences including the sacred symbolism of amulets and talismans, the sentimentality of the Victorian era, folklore and ancient civilisations, as well as her own travels across the globe. Inspired by rituals from Egypt, India and the Amazon, Shakti crafts every design using sung mantras and icaros to imbue blessing and protection for its wearer – a prayer captured in gold.
Handcrafted in London from 18ct Fairmined yellow, rose or white gold. Approximately 30 natural green diamonds, around 1mm or 1.4mm depending on width. Available in 1.5mm, 1.8mm and 2mm widths. Organic hand-worked texture; stone placement varies.
