This Inipi Circle-Stamped 18ct Fairmined Gold Wedding Band by Shakti Ellenwood is covered with a rhythmic sequence of circles and crosses, each mark stamped individually around the full circumference. The pattern was inspired by a journey through New Mexico and by the visual language of traditional Native American metalwork, while the name refers to the Lakota word for a sweat lodge associated with purification and prayer. The narrow band is gently hammered flat before stamping, giving the surface additional depth beneath the motif. Inipi has a meditative, talismanic quality and works particularly well beside smoother rings where its intricate markings can be appreciated in contrast.
