This Cherish Ruby Ring by Shakti Ellenwood turns the heart into a softly sculpted object punctuated with flashes of deep red. Eight traceable Greenland rubies in graduated sizes sit across the domed heart, bringing color and dimension to a slender Fairmined gold band without overwhelming its delicate proportions. The combination feels romantic but distinctly handcrafted, with the precious materials treated in a warm, tactile way rather than with conventional high-polish symmetry. Rubies have long been associated with love, vitality and devotion, making Cherish especially fitting as an intimate token, alternative engagement ring or meaningful milestone piece. Its traceable materials also place provenance at the center of the design.
Shakti Ellenwood is a renowned designer of ethical jewellery, whose handcrafted creations offer a unique blend of beauty and integrity. Her earthy, organic designs fuse an ancient feel with a contemporary aesthetic, incorporating diverse influences including the sacred symbolism of amulets and talismans, the sentimentality of the Victorian era, folklore and ancient civilisations, as well as her own travels across the globe. Inspired by rituals from Egypt, India and the Amazon, Shakti crafts every design using sung mantras and icaros to imbue blessing and protection for its wearer – a prayer captured in gold.
Handcrafted in London from 18ct Fairmined gold. Eight traceable Greenland rubies ranging from 1mm to 1.75mm. 1.5mm round band. Domed heart measures 6 x 5.5mm and 0.9mm thick.
