This La goutte paresseuse ring by Caroline Swolfs creates an intentionally relaxed, rounded interpretation of the designer’s signature drop. Its top measures 7.5mm wide and high, continuing into a 7.5mm back so the ring retains a consistent sense of volume rather than tapering sharply underneath. The result feels almost pebble-like in its compact solidity, particularly when chosen with the available matte finish, which softens reflected light and emphasises the form itself. It is less about fluid speed than a drop at rest, giving The Drop collection a calm, grounded expression that works beautifully as a substantial everyday ring.
Caroline Swolfs is a well-known Belgian jewellery designer. Her line is artisanal, unique and very contemporary. At the end of the 90's, when Caroline created her logo, in the shape of a drop, the idea came to her to develop her new jewellery collections from a single source of inspiration: a simple drop. This became the anchor point of Caroline Swolfs' jewellery. The infinity of metamorphoses that such a simple form can undergo through the limitless imagination of the Belgian designer is a delight in motion.
