This La goutte onduline ring by Caroline Swolfs stretches the language of The Drop into an elongated wave that travels dramatically across the hand. Measuring 34mm by 10mm at the top, the sculptural element has a distinctly horizontal presence, while the band narrows to 4mm underneath for wearability. The ondulating silhouette captures water in motion rather than as a static droplet, making the ring one of the collection’s more expressive interpretations of fluidity. Its generous proportions require no gemstones to create impact; light moving across the curved surface provides all the variation needed. Best worn alone, it functions almost as miniature sculpture.
Caroline Swolfs is a well-known Belgian jewellery designer. Her line is artisanal, unique and very contemporary. At the end of the 90's, when Caroline created her logo, in the shape of a drop, the idea came to her to develop her new jewellery collections from a single source of inspiration: a simple drop. This became the anchor point of Caroline Swolfs' jewellery. The infinity of metamorphoses that such a simple form can undergo through the limitless imagination of the Belgian designer is a delight in motion.
