This La goutte éternelle thin double man by Caroline Swolfs enlarges the double-drop concept into a stronger, more architectural proportion. The design reaches 11mm across the top yet tapers to only 3.2mm at the back, creating a dramatic contrast between visible volume and comfortable underside. Its doubled lines suggest water dividing, meeting or flowing around an obstacle, a natural continuation of Swolfs’ longstanding fascination with the endlessly changing character of a drop. The ring feels substantial without becoming block-like because every transition remains curved. It is an expressive alternative to a conventional masculine band, with interest derived entirely from form.
Caroline Swolfs is a well-known Belgian jewellery designer. Her line is artisanal, unique and very contemporary. At the end of the 90's, when Caroline created her logo, in the shape of a drop, the idea came to her to develop her new jewellery collections from a single source of inspiration: a simple drop. This became the anchor point of Caroline Swolfs' jewellery. The infinity of metamorphoses that such a simple form can undergo through the limitless imagination of the Belgian designer is a delight in motion.
