This L’envol necklace by Caroline Swolfs captures the Belgian designer’s instinct for turning fluid, organic ideas into jewelry with a strong graphic presence. Its broad 60mm pendant gives the piece a sculptural confidence, while the shorter chain positions it close to the collarbone for a contemporary, architectural effect. Part of the CS Line, the design reflects Swolfs’ more everyday approach to jewelry: expressive enough to alter the silhouette of an outfit, yet restrained enough to return to often. The name, translating to “flight,” lends the piece a sense of movement, freedom and lightness that balances its substantial visual scale.
Caroline Swolfs is a well-known Belgian jewellery designer. Her line is artisanal, unique and very contemporary. At the end of the 90's, when Caroline created her logo, in the shape of a drop, the idea came to her to develop her new jewellery collections from a single source of inspiration: a simple drop. This became the anchor point of Caroline Swolfs' jewellery. The infinity of metamorphoses that such a simple form can undergo through the limitless imagination of the Belgian designer is a delight in motion.
